“Useful Plants from Here and Elsewhere”

26. 2012

July 6 – 8,    exhibition “Useful Plants from Here and Elsewhere”

These days,  when the tempo of our life is extremely rapid, we easily tend to forget how dependent we are on plants. Let’s have a look at what we need in the morning alone – coffee, tea, juice, soap, toothpaste, even a toothbrush can be made from plants, let alone food, medication, clothes, etc. At the exhibition we disclose different and ever so surprising ways of using plants in our daily lives. Which plants are used for making soap and lipstick, and which plant yields us ink and which plant helps us becoming invisible? The exhibition  gives answers to these questions  too. We give tips on how to make personal perfume or repel household pests, which plant to use to dye yarn or which plant improves eyesight.
